Music has a very special role in worship at the Congregational Church of Weston by providing musical offerings which illustrate or enhance the theme and mood of each service. At each service our pianist and organist, Dooseon Woo, provides a prelude, postlude and offertory, as well as accompaniment for the choir. Our choir, though small, is comprised of experienced singers who ‘make a joyful noise unto the Lord’ through anthems and introits. From renaissance to contemporary and from traditional to jazz, the choir sings in a variety of styles. Special music is sometimes provided from within the congregation – string ensembles, early music on lute or theorbo, folk music on guitars – and sometimes other offerings are provided by visiting musicians.
