CCW Symphony Orchestra

Our Intergenerational CCW Symphony Orchestra debuted their very first performance at the Easter 2019 service and played for a Sunday service around Christmas time in 2019.  The goal is to play twice per year at special services such as Easter and Christmas.  All ages and levels welcome to join!  Customized parts can be written for your playing level. Do you play a stringed instrument?  Would you like to join the CCW Symphony Orchestra?  Contact Us to sign up to play!

UPDATE: Our orchestra is not currently practicing together, but we will let you know when we are. Watch this page for updates!

My Soul Cries Out with a Joyful Shout (Canticle of the Turning)

December 2018

Members from the CCW Symphony Orchestra played at the Home Suites Christmas party for the homeless, one of our outreach volunteer events.

Christmas Party for Homeless Families at the Home Suites

CCW was part of a partnership of 4 churches that came together to put on this event

The UCC congregations – Agape (Waltham), Second Church (Newton) & Eliot Church (Newton)— came together to provide refreshments, crafts to make Christmas cards, live music, and a Santa with presents for each child.  Church members got a list of the attending children and their ages to give a gift for each child.  Members at the various churches took a name, bought a gift and wrapped it with the child’s name on it and dropped it off to our “Santa” prior to the party, who distributed the gifts at the party. Volunteers prepared crafts, refreshments, provided music and helped Santa pass out gifts.
