Communities of faith exist because God has kept God’s promises before. Ever been between a rock and a hard place, between Pharaoh’s approaching chariots and the waters of death, when suddenly there was a way out of no way, an exodus was provided? Ever gotten beyond yourself, acting in ways that are not you, found yourself exiled from all you knew and then wanted nothing more than to come home and start over, and your parent was waiting? God has kept God’s promises before.
Sunday after Sunday, we gather in prayer, to give thanks, to celebrate, to ask for and to offer forgiveness, to sing praise to God for keeping God’s promises. Hospitality is thus the working of grateful hearts and the witness that we have not given up on the promises of God. “Whoever welcomes you welcomes me,” speaks to that witness.
Join us for online worship this Sunday, June 28, 2020, the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost.
Following the worship, please join us on Zoom for a Farewell gathering online for The Edenes. Here is a copy of the Farewell Litany document for you to follow along with from home. Farewell Litany PDF
